Made using West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4 Ply, these wristwarmers combine the beautifully soft and strong qualities of Bluefaced Leicester wool with nylon, creating a yarn that is both comfortable to wear and exceptionally hard-wearing.
The main body is knitted in Purple Emperor, a beautiful mix of soft, speckled shades with hints of purple, blue, pink and warm golden tones. The finger area is finished in the rich, vibrant contrast of Blackcurrant Bomb, adding a gorgeous splash of deep berry colour.
Each pair is lovingly made on my beautiful vintage circular sock machine, an Imperia dating from around 1928, affectionately known as Bessie. The finely knitted fabric has plenty of stretch for a comfortable fit, while the vintage machine gives every pair a special connection to traditional craftsmanship.
Designed with warmth and comfort in mind, these wristwarmers feature a double-thickness cuff and finger area, providing extra warmth and protection where you need it most. The fingerless design keeps your hands cosy while allowing you to use your phone, type, drive, craft, walk the dog, or simply get on with your day without having to take them off.
Bluefaced Leicester wool is renowned for being one of Britain’s softest and strongest wools, while the addition of nylon gives the yarn extra durability and resilience. The result is a pair of soft, comfortable wristwarmers designed to cope beautifully with everyday wear.
