Ravine is a beautifully deep, atmospheric blue-grey, made using the wonderful West Yorkshire Spinners Fleece Bluefaced Leicester DK, a premium British wool yarn. Bluefaced Leicester wool is renowned for combining exceptional softness with impressive strength, creating wristwarmers that are wonderfully comfortable to wear while also being beautifully hard-wearing.
Each pair is lovingly made on my beautiful vintage circular sock machine, an Imperia dating from around 1928, affectionately known as Bessie. Using a vintage machine gives each pair a special connection to traditional craftsmanship while creating a beautifully comfortable, finely knitted fabric with plenty of stretch for a comfortable fit.
Designed with warmth and comfort in mind, these unisex British wool wristwarmers feature a double-thickness cuff and finger area, providing extra warmth and protection where you need it most. The fingerless design keeps your hands cosy while allowing you to use your phone, type, drive, craft, walk the dog, or simply get on with your day without having to take them off.
The wonderful qualities of Bluefaced Leicester wool make these wristwarmers a pleasure to wear. It is one of Britain’s finest and softest wools, yet its long fibres also give it excellent strength and durability.
