Treat your feet to the warmth and comfort of these beautifully handmade knitted wool socks, created on my vintage circular sock machine.
Rhubarb & Custard combines rich rhubarb purple, soft custard yellow and deep olive green in a striking striped design, finished with contrasting Blackcurrant Bomb heels and toes. The colours work beautifully together to create a distinctive pair with plenty of character.
Each pair is lovingly knitted on my beautiful vintage Imperia circular sock machine, a cast-iron machine dating from around 1929. This traditional method of sock making gives each pair a special connection to vintage craftsmanship, while the finely knitted fabric provides plenty of stretch for a comfortable fit.
Made from a 75% superwash wool and 25% nylon blend, these socks combine the natural warmth and softness of wool with the added strength and durability of nylon, making them ideal for everyday wear.
The stretchy knitted fabric means these socks will comfortably fit two shoe sizes. If you prefer a snug fit, choose the higher of the two sizes. If you prefer your socks a little looser, or have wider feet, choose the lower size.
Care: Machine washable at 30°C on a wool cycle.
