Handcrafted Wool Socks – Made on a Vintage Machine
I’m so excited to offer these beautifully handmade socks, crafted with care on my vintage circular sock machine, “Bessie.” She’s an Imperia machine dating back to around 1929, made from cast iron — a true piece of history. Every pair is hand-cranked, making each one a small work of art.
These socks are made from a high-quality 75% superwash wool / 25% nylon blend, giving you the perfect balance of softness, warmth, and durability. They’re designed to be practical, hard-wearing, and long-lasting, the kind of socks you’ll reach for again and again. Once you’ve worn hand-knitted socks, it’s hard to go back!
These ankle-length socks are perfect for everyday wear, featuring a comfy double cuff and added lycra for a secure, snug fit that stays in place without feeling tight.
Sizing Guide:
- These are a perfect everyday size 3, but will also fit a size 4 if you like your socks really snug
Care & Wear:
They may soften with each wash and experience minimal initial shrinkage, but will stretch back out with wear. Machine washable at 30°C (a wool cycle is recommended).
