Hearth & Heather – Handmade Supersoft Alpaca Wristwarmers

Hearth & Heather combines a deep navy blue with a soft grey-mauve, creating a beautifully subtle and wearable colour combination. Each pair is lovingly made from luxurious Mirasol Paqu Pura, a 100% supersoft alpaca yarn.
These wristwarmers are made on my beautiful vintage circular sock machine, an Imperia dating from around 1928, affectionately known as Bessie. Using a vintage machine gives each pair a special connection to traditional craftsmanship while creating a beautifully comfortable, finely knitted fabric with plenty of stretch for a comfortable fit.
Designed with warmth and comfort in mind, these unisex alpaca wristwarmers feature a double-thickness cuff and finger area, providing extra warmth and protection where you need it most. The fingerless design keeps your hands cosy while allowing you to use your phone, type, drive, craft, walk the dog, or simply get on with your day without having to take them off.
Alpaca fibre is renowned for its exceptional softness and insulating properties. It is wonderfully warm while remaining lightweight and comfortable to wear, and alpaca is often said to be significantly warmer than traditional sheep’s wool. The luxurious 100% alpaca yarn makes these wristwarmers feel wonderfully soft against the skin, bringing a little everyday luxury to colder days.
