I’m absolutely thrilled to offer handmade socks!
Meet Bessie, my vintage Circular Sock Machine—a stunning Imperia from around 1929, crafted from solid chrome and cast iron. Making socks on one of these beauties is truly an art, and after plenty of practice (and a very full sock drawer!), I’m delighted to share them with you.
These socks are made from a high-quality blend of 75% Superwash wool and 25% nylon making them both durable and wonderfully comfortable. Once you experience the warmth and fit of knitted socks, you’ll never want to wear anything else! Featuring a fully ribbed cuff, with a single rib either side on the leg for a comfort fit, and a smooth comfortable, seamless foot.
I usually suggest my socks will fit 2, maybe even 3 sizes, but I think these would be best on a size 4 foot. Knit with tighter tension and smaller circumference, these will fit a size 4 perfectly (I know, I’m a 4!), but may be too snug if you go bigger. With each wash, they’ll soften slightly and experience minimal shrinkage, but they’ll stretch right back out with wear. That’s the beauty of knitted socks—they mold to your feet and last for years! They’re also machine washable at 30°C (I usually use the wool setting for mine).
Buy quality, buy once.
