Description
A slightly different experiment with this one, involving knitting a wide tube, then painting one side in cranberry, and the other in a very subtle gold-to-olive gradient
When rewound onto a cone, and knitted over 72 tiny little stitches on my vintage circular sock machine, it gives a beautiful self-striping(ish) effect. And paired with claret red heels and toes, there’s certainly a hint of a popular wizard house colour with these.
A luxury 75% superwash 4-stranded extra soft wool base, with 25% nylon for added strength, these socks are 100% soft, and totally unique. I couldn’t repeat them if I tried, but I’m certainly going to experiment with this method again, even if it does add several hours to the production process. Luckily I thoroughly enjoy every aspect of making socks, and this has now extended with messy dye pot experiments.
Fully ribbed for the best fit, grab yourself the one and only pair in this exact colourway. Stretchy and forgiving, this unique pair will fit a UK size 7-8 foot.
