Description
A happy accident – the Cheshire Cat is obviously a big fan of these colours, and so am I!
Hand-dyeing self striping wool involves and very, very long, 6m skein of wool, where you dip and dye half the skein in one colour, then a different colour for the other half, and hope the strands you’ve dyed are long enough to knit into alternating stripes. And they are!
A luxury 75% superwash merino wool base, with 25% nylon for added strength, these socks are 100% soft, and totally unique. As these colours were creating by sploshing a bit of this and a bit of that into the dye pots, with no notes taken whatsoever, I am unlikely to reproduce this any time soon. Not to mention the extra hours it takes winding a slightly tangled 6m long skein onto a cone so I can knit them on my vintage circular sock machine!
Fully ribbed for the best fit, grab yourself the one and only pair in this exact colourway. Stretchy and forgiving, this unique pair will fit a UK size 7-8 foot.
Hand wash, or 30 degree machine wash. Gentle spin and dry flat.
