Description
For 3 years I have watched my customers rummage through mountains of knitted accessories attempting to find co-ordinated sets. And I’ve finally listened.
With my switch to gorgeously warm and fluffy natural wool products, I set about creating some co-ordinated pieces.
Made from West Yorkshire Spinners Fleece Bluefaced Leicester DK in the colourway Umber, renowned for it’s soft and silky texture, this is a superb example of the incredible quality of British fleece and has an almost metallic sheen in this colour.
I don’t carry a huge amount of stock, but made to order can usually be turned around in just a few days (depending on when I’m next placing a woolly supplies order), so don’t be frightened of backorder – I’ll be in touch very quickly.
If you want to bundle yourself or a loved one in bronze, so far I have the following to choose from:-
- A twisted head/neckwarmer – Double thickness again, with a lovely turban twist detail. This works equally well as a head and earwarmer, especially if you wear your hair up or in a pony tail, as it does a neckwarmer. Why not buy a pair to guarantee drafts are a thing of the past
- A plain head/neckwarmer – Keep it simple – no twist on this one, but still doubled, and still doing an excellent job to keep your head, ears or neck warm
- Wristwarmers, featuring ribbing on the cuff and fingers – and made with an extra long finger section so you can roll them out for extra warmth, or roll them down for extra dexterity. Single thickness, but knitted to a nice taut tension on my vintage circular sock machine (yes, you can even do thumbs on the machine with a little dextrous gymnastics), this DK is about as thick a wool as the machine can be coaxed to cope with. Snug fitting, but with enough stretch to fit most.
